MEET OUR TEAM

Debbie Lundy/ Lead Pet Stylist/ Owner
“I have always had an interest in dogs my entire life, so coming into an already-established kennel in 1991 was truly a blessing from God. The comfort and joy an animal can bring is indescribable to anyone who is not an animal lover.
Since the time I was a little girl, I have always enjoyed doing hair. Little did I know people hair would not be in my future. I began my Pet Stylist career in my home in 1990. This was six months prior to working at Noah’s Ark, now known as Canine Country. Over 30 years later, I love it as much now, if not more than I did the day I started! That was the beginning of a very rewarding career that I never imagined possible.
Now, I have the best of both worlds. I get to enjoy numerous dogs every day while their people go away on vacation, or I get to beautify my furry friends with a luxurious full-service spa treatment and a cut-n-style of their choice. The rewards are ongoing.
I am so grateful for the supportive and trustworthy team I am honored to work with and for the amazing clients that trust us with their precious pets.”
Passion + Canines = JOY

Jordan Edmonds / Assistant Manager
“I have always loved working with animals and in customer care. My dream job as a child was to own my own dog kennel one day, and I thought what a better way to get prepared for that is by working in one! I have a passion for nurturing animals and taking care of them, and this job displays that perfectly. Everyone here is like family, and I couldn’t ask for a better work environment and coworkers. I have always been told; “choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life” and that is exactly why I feel at home here at Canine Country.”

Anna Josey / Assistant Manager
“Since I was a little girl, I have had a passion for animals. Dogs have always held a special place in my heart, nothing makes your day better than a happy tail wag and a big ol’ kiss from a sweet puppy! I’ve been working in this field for years and have loved every second of it! I’m currently a senior in college at UNC Asheville working towards my BA in Psychology; I aspire to work with service animals, conduct research on the benefits of canine companionship, and just share my love of animals with others! I always say that you can find something beautiful in everything you do, and this job never proves me wrong! Here at Canine Country, passion + canines really do equal joy!”

Alondra Hernandez / Assistant Pet Stylist
“My name is Alondra and ever since I was little, I have loved being around animals. When I was little, we had all sorts of animals, it’s like I had a little farm in my backyard. I enjoy working here at Canine Country, it feels like a calling. I was going to Catawba College for Nursing when I started working here, but before I could go back, I had realized that this is where I wanted to be. I wanted to have the opportunity to keep working with our furry friends. My goal is to learn as much as possible about grooming and then in the future go to Veterinary School.”

Hayley Lamberth / Groom Tech
“Growing up I have always had a love for animals of all kinds. If you had asked me at age 6 what I wanted to be, my answer would have for sure been a vet. I took all animal science classes in High School and got some hands-on experience by bottle feeding cattle and giving vaccines. I am currently a first-year student at Mitchell Community College, and I am working on transferring and getting my degree in Veterinary Medicine. Being around animals has always made my heart happy and since working at Canine Country I have gotten to learn more about our furry friends that come through the door and love them every chance I get. It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know our clients and learn about our dogs and their sweet personalities.”

Charlie Frye /Assistant Pet Caretaker
“As a kid I was surrounded by dogs, I love them so much! I have always wanted to work with dogs to be able to learn and gain experience. My dream is to learn my future career path while working here and thanks to the amazing team at Canine Country I am already on my way. I am grateful that this is my first job and I get to work with the best dogs every day and so much more. I love getting to understand every dog that walks through the door.”

Ashley Salvatore/Administrative Assistant/ Reception
“My name is Ashley, and I am a Jesus lover, wife, and mom to four amazing children. My husband and I were born and raised in Florida and felt led to trade the beach for changing seasons and majestic mountains in 2020 when we transplanted our family to North Carolina. I mostly assist with administrative duties at Canine Country; however, you will also find me loving the sweet pups that visit us each day with belly rubs and back scratches. My work background consists of jobs in administration, as well as animal husbandry and training of various exotic and domestic species. This previous experience equipped me with the necessary skills to thrive in this work environment which marries administrative tasks with animal care. In my personal time, I enjoy singing, long drives through the mountains, and spending time with my husband, children, and church family. I feel privileged to work alongside such hard-working, kind-hearted, team players that are genuinely passionate about providing excellent care for each dog that comes to Canine Country.”
